Financial Controller

Location: Rugeley, Staffordshire

A global, established, and growing consumer products business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to support strategic decision-making and strengthen financial control across the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a hands-on role with responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and process improvement, working closely with cross-functional teams. Importantly, this position offers a clear pathway to step up into a Finance Director role, making it an excellent opportunity for ambitious finance professionals seeking career progression.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling activities
• Control and analyse product costings, margins, and customer performance
• Oversee month-end and year-end close in line with Group timelines
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial controls
• Utilise SAP ECC for reporting, analysis, and process automation
• Support audits and liaise with external finance partners
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA preferred)
• 7+ years experience in financial accounting and analysis
• Strong SAP ECC experience
• Advanced Excel skills;
