Located in Runcorn, United Kingdom, the newly extended 120,000 sq. ft. facility is a fully integrated site offering comprehensive manufacturing, repair, and overhaul services. Designated as a Center of Excellence, it specializes in surface treatment and assembly of small‑to‑medium sized landing gear systems for major programs such as Gripen, Hawk, KF21 and AW101.

The machinist’s primary purpose is to produce conforming aerospace components, working to tight tolerances, using conventional vertical and horizontal jig boring machines. The role may involve training on other machines such as an XYZ CNC lathe.

• Producing conforming components in a timely manner.
• Setting and operating conventional vertical and horizontal jig borers to achieve correct dimensions and surface finish requirements.
• Completing all appropriate paperwork, e.g., technique sheets and production orders.
• Using calibrated precision measuring equipment.
• Working with a team and using personal initiative.

• Experience setting and operating vertical and horizontal jig borers (desirable).
• Experience setting and operating XYZ CNC lathe (desirable).
• Experience working to tight tolerances.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Ability to use various types of precision measuring equipment.
• Time‑served experience (desirable).
• Aerospace experience (desirable).
