Overview
Aircraft Fitter role at Héroux-Devtek. Located in the United Kingdom. The company is a leading supplier in landing gear, actuation and hydraulic system design and manufacture for civil and military aerospace markets.
Job SummaryAs an Assembly Technician, you’ll be responsible for building and stripping a variety of simple and complex hydraulic units and conducting efficient inspections and fault-finding investigations.
Key Responsibilities- Building, testing, and inspection of both routine and complex mechanical hydraulic systems
- Fit and assemble of sub-assembly parts and components
- Identifying and repairing mechanical issues
- Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment, e.g. micrometres
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and HSE standards
- Working to engineering drawings, CMMs and operation instructions
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience as an Assembly Fitter in the aviation industry
- Strong understanding of mechanical hydraulics systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
