Overview

Aircraft Fitter role at Héroux-Devtek. Located in the United Kingdom. The company is a leading supplier in landing gear, actuation and hydraulic system design and manufacture for civil and military aerospace markets.

Job Summary

As an Assembly Technician, you’ll be responsible for building and stripping a variety of simple and complex hydraulic units and conducting efficient inspections and fault-finding investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building, testing, and inspection of both routine and complex mechanical hydraulic systems
  • Fit and assemble of sub-assembly parts and components
  • Identifying and repairing mechanical issues
  • Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment, e.g. micrometres
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and HSE standards
  • Working to engineering drawings, CMMs and operation instructions
Requirements

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience as an Assembly Fitter in the aviation industry
  • Strong understanding of mechanical hydraulics systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
