About The Role
We have a new opening for a Purchasing Administrator and Stock Controller to join our team s is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in purchasing and inventory management within a dynamic and growing organisation.
In this role, you will provide administrative support for purchasing activities, maintain accurate stock control, and act as the point of contact for deliveries to Goods‑In. You’ll play a key part in ensuring timely procurement and efficient inventory management across the site.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Negotiate competitive pricing and manage purchase orders to ensure timely procurement.
- Maintain accurate stock records using inventory systems and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor stock levels, report demand changes, and deliver items to departments on schedule.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods; address quality or quantity issues with suppliers.
- Act as the main contact for purchasing queries, order tracking, and courier deliveries.
- Ensure all documentation and inventory updates are completed accurately and on time.
Requirements:
- GCSEs or equivalent (including Maths and English).
- Basic administrative experience (including internships or work placements).
- Exposure to purchasing or inventory processes in a business environment.
- Basic understanding of purchasing and stock control principles.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Good numerical and data entry skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Desirable:
- NVQ or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
