You're someone who gets people. The role isn’t just spanners and engines—our mechanics are out there on driveways, chatting with customers, giving advice, and representing the RAC with pride. You like mixing things up. Every day is a little different—servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks. But it doesn’t stop there: you’ll manage stock, perform reporting, and keep customer conversations flowing.

• Serve customers on their driveways, diagnosing and repairing light vehicles.
• Manage stock, perform reporting and handle customer communication.
• Think on your feet and make the right call for each customer, providing advice and support.

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on‑target earnings of up to £50,000.
• A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
• Opt‑in guaranteed overtime after your first month: extra rest days at £30 per hour, potentially £3,000–£5,000 extra per year.

• 40‑hour week (8:30am‑5:00pm, 1 in 4 Saturdays); 1‑day full‑time flexibility.
• RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit supplied.
• 23 days holiday (rising to 25 with service) + bank holidays; paid family leave & flexible schedules.

Rushden, Northamptonshire – Full Time – Up to £50k per annum.

40 hours per week, core hours 8:30am‑5:00pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays.
