Remote Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is looking for an experienced Remote Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their forward-thinking organization. This position is integral to managing project costs throughout the entire construction lifecycle, from feasibility to completion. You will work autonomously from your remote location, collaborating virtually with project teams across South Africa . This role demands exceptional analytical skills, a meticulous approach to financial management, and the ability to provide expert cost advice and control measures.

• Manage and control all project costs, from initial estimates to final accounts.
• Prepare, negotiate, and administer construction contracts and tender documents.
• Conduct site visits (as required, though primarily remote) to assess progress and verify valuations.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects.
• Prepare regular cost reports and financial forecasts for project stakeholders.
• Advise on procurement strategies and contract administration best practices.

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, with professional accreditation (e.g., SACQSP).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Expertise in cost estimation , contract law, and tender processes.
• Proficiency in QS software and standard measurement techniques.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively remotely.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen .
