Job title: Lab technician/Controller

Salary: Market related, dependent on qualifications and experience

Location: On-site at Mine (North-west province , 30 mins from Sun city, 60 mins from Rustenburg)

Vacancy type: Full time

Duties:

• Preparing sound metallurgical test work sampling plans.
• Conducting sample preparation and test-works in line with approved sampling plans and
• Preparing detailed technical reports for each metallurgical test work sampling exercise.
• Maintaining records for all test work results.
• Conducting process efficiency tests for processing plant.
• Developing and updating relevant standard operating procedures for various metallurgical test works

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, or equivalent.
• Analytical equipment and supervisory training advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years in a mining or beneficiation environment.:
• Experience with metallurgical and analytical testing methods.
• Knowledge of sampling procedures and process control testing.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy samples.
• Comfortable with standing for extended periods and occasional long shifts.
• Must be able to move between plant and mine sites as needed.
