We're a growing, family-owned business specialising in the supply of fixings and fasteners to trade and industry. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a proactive and versatile Procurement Officer / Buyer to help us take the next step.

About the Role

This is a varied and hands‑on role that goes beyond traditional procurement. While you’ll play a key part in sourcing and managing inventory, you’ll also get involved in customer‑facing activities and strategic projects that are crucial to our growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and purchase fixings, fasteners, and related products from suppliers in the UK and overseas
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating best pricing and delivery terms
  • Manage stock levels, monitor lead times, and coordinate deliveries to meet customer demand
  • Support telesales efforts by taking customer calls, processing orders, and providing product advice
  • Lead or assist on special projects such as:
    • Developing an end‑user product catalogue
    • Implementing improvements in inventory management systems
    • Contributing to our journey toward ISO 9001 certification
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally within a construction, engineering, or industrial supply setting
  • Comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities across departments
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Confident working independently and within a close‑knit team
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • A proactive mindset and a willingness to get stuck in wherever needed
