Responsibilities
will include:
Participating in regularly scheduled planning activities with external advisors and senior executives as required
Preparing and filing corporate tax returns
Preparing year-end tax provision entries and tax related notes to the financial statements
Providing guidance and reviewing the work of other team membersProviding guidance to accountants as they prepare monthly tax provisions.Preparing and filing trust returns
Preparing & filing of HST returns
Preparing and filing a number of tax-related annual returns/forms
Working with corporate controllers to establish & monitor appropriate monthly income tax installments
Assist in the evolution of tax related processes
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and
Experience:
Chartered Professional Accountant Designation, or equivalentActively pursuing or considering pursuing CPA Canada In-depth Tax CoursePrevious experience in tax or accounting rolesExperience with Taxprep softwareHigh attention to detailProficient with the Microsoft Suite of Products, with high proficiency in excelAdaptable and flexible team playerOutstanding problem solving and analytical skillsUnderstand and appreciate the need for confidentialityExperience with corporate enterprise resource planning systemsSkilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels within the organization as evidenced by success in working collaboratively with others to effectively coordinate activities to accomplish goalsAbility to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasksIf this opportunity resonates with you, we invite you to submit your resume.
