As a specialized Officer, physical ability is essential, as you will be moving throughout your entire shift, patrolling municipal properties, engaging with the community, and visiting businesses.

Responsibilities for Community Safety Officer

Patrol critical areas to identify any suspicious activity.

Perform productive patrols and site visits throughout the community and public areas.

React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken.

Conduct wellness checks.

Collaborate with municipal services, emergency services, and law enforcement.

Qualifications for Community Safety Officer

Be authorized to work in Canada.

Background in criminology, sociology, police foundations, corrections, military, or security experience.

First aid certification required, or willingness to obtain one.

Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.

Ability to work in all types of weather.

Ability to learn and adapt as procedures evolve.

Proficient with technology.

You must provide a valid Criminal Record Check
, a Vulnerable Sector Check
, a clean Driver’s Abstract
, and a valid driver’s licence
.
