Assistant Accountant

You’ll sit at the centre of day-to-day financial activity, gaining exposure to costing, forecasting and business performance across manufacturing, supply chain and R&D. If progression matters to you and you want a role that will actively develop rather than stand still, this is where it starts.

This is a full-time role, based in the office 5 days per week. The office is based in a very rural location, so your own transport is essential.

Supporting management accounts preparation, schedules and financial commentary
Producing cost of sales, stock and margin reporting
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
Monitoring and supporting cost control across R&D projects
Maintaining the fixed asset register and related reporting
Contributing to ERP improvements and finance process development
What you’ll bring to the table as an Assistant Accountant

Previous experience supporting management accounts processes
Part-qualified status or equivalent finance training
Strong Excel capability and confidence working with financial data
Exposure to costing or manufacturing finance environments
Ability to work across multiple operational areas with financial accuracy
