Hospital Director – New Hall Hospital

New Hall Hospital, part of Ramsay Health Care UK, is one of Wiltshire’s leading private hospitals, renowned for delivering high‑quality healthcare services in a serene and historic setting. Located just two miles south of Salisbury, the hospital is housed in a Georgian manor surrounded by 14 acres of landscaped parkland, offering a peaceful environment for recovery. The facility boasts 43 patient beds, 5 theatres, including a high‑dependency unit, and has recently undergone a £4 million refurbishment featuring a state‑of‑the‑art spinal theatre complex and a dedicated day‑case unit.

About

the role

You will be a highly motivated, inspirational leader with high levels of self‑awareness, vision, commercial acumen and rapport. In addition to acting as the CQC Registered Manager for the site, you will hold full P&L responsibility and provide leadership and strategic direction. You will lead and deliver local business development activities and establish and maintain strong links with the medical and local community.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the CQC Registered Manager for the site.
  • Hold full P&L responsibility and provide leadership and strategic direction.
  • Lead and deliver local business development activities and establish and maintain strong links with the medical and local community.
  • Lead change in a commercial or health care environment.
  • Manage and inspire a group of employees in a commercial context with strong business acumen.
  • Make decisions and manage people, communicating, negotiating and interpersonal skills. Liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of current health industry issues and relevant tertiary/post‑graduate qualifications.
  • Proven leadership, business development, strategic planning experience and risk management skills.
  • Experience of inspiring and managing a group of employees in a commercial context.
  • Experience of leading change in a commercial or health care environment.
  • Decision‑making capabilities, people management skills, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience in liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
