The Role What You ll Be Doing
This is a hands-on, varied account management role where no two days are the same:
Managing and developing existing accounts
Handling quotes, tenders, and enquiries from initial request through to order placement
Building strong, trusted relationships with clients through regular site visits, meetings, and follow-ups
Supporting customers and internal teams with expert product knowledge to maximise sales and margins
Developing a clear sector strategy
Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets with a structured, well-managed pipeline
Maintaining excellent customer service standards by resolving queries efficiently and professionally
Working closely with marketing on campaigns, social media input, and continuous process improvements
Accurately updating CRM records, producing reports, and ensuring contracts and reviews are completed on time
What We re Looking For
We re keen to speak with someone who already understands account management and sales operations and is ready to take ownership of their patch:
Proven experience in sales or account management, ideally within manufacturing, construction, or the built environment
Comfortable managing quotes, orders, emails, CRM systems, and customer communication daily
Confident building long-term client relationships and exceeding sales targets
Able to read drawings and specifications to prepare accurate proposals (training provided where needed)
Organised, proactive, and customer-focused with a natural drive to improve how things are done
Happy to travel across the UK for client meetings and occasional events
