Public Safety Security Officer Position Summary

The Public Safety Security Officer is responsible for carrying out the core value of safety at Tidal Health by maintaining a safe, secure condition in and around the hospital buildings and grounds. This position is also responsible for the protection of patients, employees, visitors, and their property.

Position Requirements Education
  • High School Graduate or G.E.D.
Experience
  • One-year prior experience in a law enforcement, fire or security-related job preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully undergo a comprehensive background and character investigation.
  • Valid driver’s license and verification of insurability under Tidal Health's automobile insurance plan.
Public Safety Security Officer Schedule
  • May be assigned to a permanent day, evening, or night shift.
  • Usually scheduled off every third weekend.
  • May be requested to work overtime on occasion.
Public Safety Security Officer Benefits
  • At Tidal Health, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non-12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
