About the Role p>As a Driver - Handler you’ll have a key role working within a small but highly effective Transport Services team, where the highest standards will be expected. You’ll be required to drive and operate a wide range of general and specialist vehicles, from Passenger Carrying Vehicles to Fuel Bowsers. You’ll be responsible for making sure students, equipment and vehicles get to the right place, at the right time!

As a handler you will also work on the busy flight line.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities ul>

Transporting Students between units and the local area using a range of vehicles

li>Carrying out detailed monthly checks of the vehicle fleet reporting all defects li>Working on a busy flight line, carrying out see off’s, see ins and refuelling company owned aircraft li>PPE will be provided and must be worn as a matter of company policy Work Hours and Flexibility p>This role is full time and based on site at MoD Boscombe Down, near Wiltshire.

You'll work an average of 40 hours a week on a shift basis, however you'll need to be flexible as there may be changes to the roster from time to time to meet customer needs.

Essential Experience ul>

Experience of driving a variety of vehicles

li>Sound knowledge of Driver's Hours Regulations in accordance with EU Directive 561/2006 li>Computer Literate; basic IT skills li>Good diplomacy skills required li>Ability to engage effectively with internal and external personnel at all levels, including senior stakeholders. li>Must enjoy driving to various parts of the UK Qualifications ul>

Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCV) DVLA Licence Category D

li>Large Goods Vehicles (LGV) DVLA Licence Category C li>Digital Tachograph Card Security Clearance p>The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS and CTC security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
