Job Description & How to Apply Below
We're partnering with a fast-growing technology startup developing AI-powered video sensors and wireless systems to automate and better understand the physical world. Their technology combines advanced AI, computer vision, and long-range connectivity to improve security, safety, and operational efficiency across physical environments.
About the RoleWe're looking for a Senior Antenna Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of antenna design and performance across a range of wireless hardware products.
This is a hands-on engineering role spanning antenna architecture, electromagnetic simulation, prototyping, testing, validation, and production. You'll play a critical role in ensuring reliable wireless connectivity across complex, multi-radio systems deployed in real-world environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead antenna design, simulation, integration, and validation for ground-based and airborne hardware.
- Develop antennas supporting sub-GHz, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, GNSS, and other wireless technologies.
- Perform electromagnetic simulations using HFSS, CST, FEKO, or equivalent tools.
- Optimize antenna performance within compact, mechanically constrained, multi-radio systems.
- Conduct RF measurements, chamber testing, and field performance validation.
- Troubleshoot RF performance issues and support antenna development through certification and production.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Electromagnetics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of antenna design experience
, including bringing designs from concept through production. - Strong understanding of electromagnetics, RF principles, impedance matching, radiation patterns, and antenna efficiency.
- Proficiency with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, or FEKO.
- Hands-on experience with RF measurement equipment, including VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and antenna chambers.
- Experience designing antennas for space-constrained products such as IoT devices, drones, robotics, vehicles, or consumer electronics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently own complex engineering projects.
- Master's degree or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with sub-GHz/ISM bands, FCC certification, or multi-radio coexistence.
- Experience with industrial or outdoor wireless hardware.
- Python or MATLAB experience for testing and measurement automation.
