Our client, a market-leading manufacturing organisation are looking to recruit a mechanical fitter to build and assemble a range of their products/machinery. The ideal candidate will be well-versed reading engineering drawings and will be experienced building complex machinery or systems.

Job Description

Work with colleagues within the fitting team to build a range of machinery
Effective communication within the fitting team, Production team, Operations team, and where necessary other departments within the business.
Work constructively with other Team members in a positive and supportive way to ensure smooth and efficient running of business operations
Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities and any other business/organisational development activities within the Fitting Bay area and other areas that may affect the operation of the Fitting Section.
Work with Engineering staff to act as a constructive focal point for the development of products and processes including Supplier discussions as/if required.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Experience fitting/assembling a range of machinery, products, or systems
Ability to read engineering drawings
Able to work independently
