Overview

A busy and well-established dental practice in Sandton, Johannesburg is looking for an HPCSA-Registered Locum Dental Assistant to join their team for January
. The ideal candidate will be professional, reliable, and able to adapt quickly in a busy private practice environment. This role is to stand in for the dentist’s assistant who is recovering from a non–work-related injury
.

The ideal starting date would be:
January 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed)

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant (non-negotiable)
• Professional, well-presented, and patient-focused
• Punctual and reliable
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt easily
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and assist the dentist chairside

• Chairside assisting during dental procedures
• Preparing and cleaning treatment rooms
• Sterilisation of instruments and infection control
• Assisting with patient care and comfort
• Supporting the dentist and practice with day-to-day clinical duties

Daily locum rates (to be discussed)

07:00 – 16:00, Monday to Friday
