Primary Purpose (Role) :
The Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for providing complete engineering solutions in the instrumentation field to DRA. The ideal candidate is an experienced Instrumentation Engineer with a background in process control and instrumentation within multi-disciplinary engineering project teams. Experience in industries such as mining and minerals processing, water, wastewater, agriculture, energy, and emerging technologies is preferred.
Key Performance Areas (Responsibilities) :
Technical :
- Ensure comprehensive instrument design engineering for various projects, primarily in the process and mining industry
- Proficient in key instrument engineering tasks
- Compile instrument data sheets
- Create loop drawings
- Size control valves
- Size flow metres
- Select appropriate instruments
- Provide technical support to subordinates
- Manage procurement packages
- Review and approve engineering designs before implementation
- Conduct innovative detailed designs following good engineering practises
- Ensure designs comply with client standards and specifications, industry standards, relevant legislation, proven DRA solutions, and undergo peer review before implementation
- Facilitate design interface between disciplines
- Participate in HAZOP Studies
- Ensure accuracy and certification of design information received from vendors, contractors, and consultants
- Effectively review and approve designs
- Implement continuous improvement, lessons learned, value engineering, and latest technologies
- Take responsibility for instrumentation discipline sign off
- Collaborate with internal and external design and drafting disciplines
- Provide discipline inputs for studies and proposals, and assist with developing new business proposals
- Conduct or assist with technical bid analysis and adjudication
- Provide engineering support to the site team
- Perform commissioning discipline activities
- Manage the mark-up and back drafting of redline drawings
- Provide C&I engineering handover and support to the client

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronic or Electrical Engineering) :
