Our Client is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team. This role involves designing new products and maintaining existing ones, working on precision engineering projects in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Create and update 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings using Solid Works in line with BS8888 standards.

* Generate accurate bills of materials and design-related documentation, including specifications, manuals, and test procedures.

* Deliver allocated projects on schedule and manage concessions.

* Collaborate with engineering team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

* Assist with prototype assembly and testing.

* Undertake customer and supplier visits as required (full driving licence essential).

Requirements:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

* Experience in detailed product design and precision engineering.

* Knowledge of manufacturing methods (machining, castings, mouldings) and DFM/DFA principles.

* Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling (preferably Solid Works).

* Familiarity with simulation methods such as FEA, thermal, and vibration analysis.

* Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

* Ability to obtain SC security clearance.
