Field Service Technician

This is a Six Month Contract.

Our client has remote field energy farms and requires an on-site technician. You don’t need to have any educational qualifications for this role. You must be mobile and have a good understanding of basic technology. In other words, you don’t need to be network technician, but you will be responsible to set up routers, etc. Also, you will be needed to be the hands‑on person to get things working and installed.

• Ability to set up small and mid-size data centers by following design specifications
• Ability to lay network cabling
• Understanding of routers, switches and networking technology
• Understanding of telephone hardware and connectivity and ability to set up a small office telephone system
• Understanding of PLC and networked data collection devices
• Understanding of HVAC and fire suppression solutions, and environment monitoring technologies
• Ability to troubleshoot setup and connectivity issues

• Racking and installation of network switches, routers, servers
• Racking and installation of Battery Backup solutions
• Installation of IP Telephony
• Connectivity of PLC and network data collection devices to network
• Connectivity of environmental monitoring solutions to network
• Troubleshoot setup and connectivity issues

• Job will require working outdoors at various times, in all weather conditions
• Job will require lifting of heavy equipment such as UPSs, shipping boxes, racks and servers.
