Project Details:
Based at our project in Northern , this will be a 3 week on / 3 week off rotation opportunity.
Responsibilities:
The Lead Development Miner on our remote project in the Northern is responsible and accountable for the following:
Strictly adhere to all legislated regulations, as well as company Health & Safety policies to ensure safe work practices and uphold Health & Safety as the top priority.Comply with all site-specific and underground policies and procedures to maintain operational integrity and safety standards.Must lead the crew and assign work as required in changing work environment to safely meet production targetsSafely operate underground mining equipment including Jumbo, and Mac Lean, and JacklegInstall ground support as directedInstalling mine servicesPerform underground construction related workDemonstrate excellent mechanical aptitude and communication abilities to ensure safe operation within underground mining environments.Other mining related tasks as requiredQualifications / Requirements:
Minimum 5 years working full-time in an underground mine environment with recent experience operating Jumbo (Epiroc / Sandvik)Previous Lead Hand experienceExperienced in installation of ground support using a jackleg & stoper, jumbo, macLeanExperience operating scooptrams, scissorlifts, and other underground equipmentShotcrete/concrete/construction experience would be considered an assetSlinging / rigging experience would be considered an assetCapable of reading and interpreting mine engineering drawings and drill prints to ensure precise execution of tasks.Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, punctuality, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Applicants must meet all legislated requirements for air travel to work at the remote site camp. You will be required to work both dayshift and nightshift as part of the rotational schedule 21 days on site, 21 days off site. For this safety sensitive position, you will be required to undergo a background check and be required to undergo a substance test and pre-employment testing.
