The Reliability Engineer willbe responsible fordeveloping and implementing strategies to improve the reliability and maintainability of our manufacturing equipment and processes. This role will play a critical part in minimizing downtime, reducing maintenance costs, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our plant. This role owns and directly drives reduction in GE loss due to breakdowns by implementing Progressive Maintenance best practices.
This role is the natural backup to the maintenance manager and back up PM Pillar Lead.
What you will do:
Review, develop, update, and implement maintenance strategies to improve the reliability, availability, and performance of equipment and machinery within a facility.
Own breakdown elimination workprocessincludinganalysis and implementingthe countermeasuresto breakdownsand drive capability development of the work process across the site.
Work with the maintenance planners to review,optimizeand improve maintenance
PMs and planned shutdownsto reduce unplanned GE losses.
Follow up on post PM repair actions.(MP&S)
Work closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to implement reliability improvements.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness, including but not limited to: MTTR, MTBB, operational losses, minor stops, BD effect on GE.
Develop andmaintainmaintenance procedures, standards, and training materials as needed.
Interface with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to understand and clarify procedures and basic condition of equipment and update relevant standards, as needed based ondirection from manager.
Conduct equipment criticality assessments to prioritize maintenance efforts and resource allocation.
