Logistics Coordinator (18 Month Contract) | Scarborough

Responsibilities- Coordinate logistics activities related to the launch and implementation of the new Canadian DC.
- Monitor project milestones, track deliverables, and help ensure timelines are met.
- Communicate updates to internal stakeholders to support readiness and execution.
- Respond to branch logistics requests by providing timely information, resolving issues, and coordinating transportation needs.
- Conduct spot quoting for LTL (Less‑Than‑Truckload) and FTL (Full‑Truckload) shipments to secure cost‑effective and timely transportation options.
- Coordinate with site contacts to provide accurate and up‑to‑date delivery windows.
- Provide weekly updates to branches on stored jobs and their status.
- Perform customs audits to ensure declared values align with contractual and compliance requirements.
- Reconcile delivered shipments against Bills of Lading (BOL) received at site.
- Document and track costs related to warranty claims against carriers and DC coverage.
- Track and report errors, inaccuracies, and service failures from logistics suppliers, including confirming pickup schedules and secured drivers.
- Troubleshoot discrepancies related to documentation, invoicing, and shipment details.
- Monitor open orders and maintain accurate projected delivery dates.
- Assist branches in obtaining job completion dates and expedite follow‑ups with the factory when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- College diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, customer service, or administrative coordination.
- Comfortable working in Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas).
- Ability to learn and work with ERP or logistics systems; previous experience is an asset but not required.
- Basic understanding of shipping processes, carriers, and freight terms (LTL/FTL).
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Good communication skills and willingness to follow up and coordinate with branches and carriers.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to spot discrepancies in documents or data.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple requests at once.
