Schedule: Monday to Friday
DescriptionOrganizing repairs of Trucks, Trailers and associated equipment within the Scarborough shop and external 3rd party vendors. Responsibilities will include supervising a team of mechanics and technicians, scheduling and prioritizing vehicle repairs, and ensuring that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards. Additionally, will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe and organized work environment, managing inventory and supplies, and collaborating with other departments to maximize the uptime and reliability of fleet.
Responsibilities- Manage availability, by managing triage & repair of all Fleets. Communicate repair progress & ETC to Operations.
- Booking units into shop planner and following repairs through the repair process.
- Track all external and internal repair progress.
- Triage faults and arrange fastest & most economic repair options.
- Certified 310T mechanic with sound knowledge of shop practices.
- Must have own tools.
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical problems while working with SRT.
- Self-motivated with a desire to meet and surpass company standards.
- Ability to use a computer to manage electronic punch times and payroll.
- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
- Exposed to exhaust gases, vibrations, chemicals and shop noise.
- Ability to perform heavy work such as removing tractor wheel assemblies (120lbs).
