Senior Buyer & Supply Chain Specialist

Position: Senior Buyer & Supply Chain Specialist (Permanent)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer & Supply Chain Specialist to take ownership of our purchasing, inventory, and logistics functions. This is a hands-on role where you will ensure materials and products are delivered on time, optimise stock levels, and manage supplier performance to support our production and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead strategic and operational procurement activities

* Source materials at the best cost, quality, and delivery

* Negotiate and manage supplier contracts; conduct audits and evaluations

* Oversee the Company’s Stores Department and reduce stock holdings

* Produce monthly stock and supplier reconciliation reports

* Collaborate with Production and Contract Managers on supply forecasts

* Drive continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain processes

* Manage, train, and mentor the Procurement & Stores team

About You

* Experience in manufacturing or engineering environment.

* Strong negotiation, supplier management, and interpersonal skills

* Good knowledge of purchasing contracts, terms, and conditions

* Proficient with standard IT and procurement software

* Professional purchasing qualification (CIPS) or willingness to undertake

Qualifications

* HNC or equivalent essential;
Degree desirable

* Professional purchasing qualification preferred
