Working Pattern: 4-day week (Tuesday to Friday).

Hours:

36 hours per week – Job and Finish (paid for 9 hours per day).

Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour, weekly every Friday.

Overtime Rate: £21.20 per hour.

Job Type: Ongoing full-time position.

We're currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a well-established waste management team based in Scunthorpe. This is a great opportunity for a skilled HGV Class 2 driver looking for regular, consistent work with an excellent work‑life balance – a 4‑day working week and job‑and‑finish structure.

You'll be driving a refuse collection vehicle around the North Lincolnshire area, working as part of a small, friendly team that includes two loaders.

• Drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle on designated routes in and around North Lincolnshire.
• Work closely with a team of loaders to ensure timely and safe bin collections.
• Occasionally assist with loading duties, including hooking bins onto the vehicle for emptying.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly.
• Safely manoeuvre the vehicle through tight residential streets and rural areas.
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with the public and team members.

We're seeking a responsible, safety‑conscious Class 2 driver with good teamwork skills and a strong work ethic. You'll be working in a small crew environment, so a positive and cooperative attitude is essential.

• Valid Class 2 (Category
  
  C) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous experience driving a Class 2 vehicle – refuse experience desirable but not essential.
• Ability to handle physical work when required (assisting loaders).
• Good understanding of health and safety and road regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of service.

£14.50 per hour (standard rate).

£21.20 per hour (overtime rate).

4‑day working week – Tuesday to Friday.

36 paid hours per week.

Job and Finish – you'll be paid for 9 hours even if you finish early.
