Transport Planner

Transport Planner – Interaction – Washington

Working on behalf of my client, Interaction Recruitment, we have a great opportunity for an experienced transport planner based in the North East. The role primarily is Monday–Friday with typical shifts 08:00–17:00.

• Plan and manage loads to agreed KPI levels.
• Ensure planned work is achievable with the road transport directive and EU drivers rules & regulations.
• Liaise with customers and depots to meet all targets and deliveries, and keep the scheduling of work accurate and up-to-date on the traffic management system.
• Manage vehicle oversight, including liaison with fleet workshop wheel security and monitoring of vehicle gross weights to ensure compliance.
• Complete all administrative tasks associated with the operation to the required standard and deal with daily operational problems.

• Experience in transport planning and load management within the UK.
• Knowledge of the road transport directive, EU driver regulations, and traffic management systems.
• Capability to maintain vehicle compliance and administrative standards.
• A CPC qualification is advantageous but not essential.
