Position: Trust Grade ST1/2 Equivalent Doctor in Elderly Medicine

Location: Selby Hospital (also covers Nelson Court Inpatient Units)

Term: Fixed term, 12 months

Hours: Full-time or Part-time

The Community Inpatient Units are geriatrician‑led, multidisciplinary teams that work in integrated pathways across acute and community services. We seek a friendly, enthusiastic and innovative individual with a keen interest in frailty and rehabilitation to meet service demands and develop expertise.

• Provide acute medical assessment and intervention within Selby and York community in‑patient units.
• Collaborate closely with Advance Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) and the wider multidisciplinary team to support admissions from hospital and community.
• Ensure timely investigations, treatment and minimal delay for patients to receive appropriate interventions.
• Support integrated pathways and collaborative working across acute and community care to enable timely patient discharges.
• Deliver care நீத short‑term rehabilitation, reablement, recovery and end‑of‑life support as per unit objectives.
