Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

Our client, a long-established Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy with over 35 years' experience, are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team. Operating from their Kent headquarters with around 40 staff, they deliver innovative and practical design solutions across the UK and internationally. Their portfolio spans heritage and conservation schemes, complex infrastructure, marine engineering, and high-profile projects.

• Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects across infrastructure, drainage, highways, and site development.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring work is completed to the highest technical and commercial standards.
• Undertake detailed design work using industry-standard software and provide technical reviews.
• Liaise directly with clients, stakeholders, and other consultants to ensure clear communication and successful project outcomes.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians within the team.
• Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and best practice.
• Contribute to business development through maintaining strong client relationships and supporting bid submissions.

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and working towards or Chartered with the ICE.
• Proven experience in civil and infrastructure design within a UK consultancy environment.
• Strong working knowledge of highways, drainage (including SuDS), and utilities design.
• Competent in the use of industry software such as Civil 3D, Micro Drainage (Info Drainage), or similar.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to lead projects from feasibility through to construction.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with a passion for delivering innovative, buildable solutions.

• Competitive salary up to £60,000 maybe more for right candidate
