Tools Material Handler -Nights

What are your contributions to the team?

• Routinely inspect all tools for inconsistencies, damage and appropriate documentation
• Engrave and document tools as and when required
• Ensure rejected tools and parts (including suspected unapproved parts) are quarantined and labelled, and that the GSE Supervisor is informed of the discrepancy so corrective action shall be initiated
• Assist with ensuring all material certificates are properly filed and materials are properly stored, and that material is kept linked to the supplier source
• Ensure that outgoing materials are logged to the correct personnel and returned when required
• Monitor special tooling to ensure all issued tooling is within its calibration period, checking that everything is in date
• Remove special tooling from its location in advance of its calibration date
• Monitor inventory levels of consumables and report findings to the Buyer Planner to replenish such stocks
• Maintain good housekeeping practices in stores
• Ensure reports are filed correctly for broken tooling
• Check tooling out and in to ensure it’s complete and no tooling is missing
• Conduct shelf audits consistently
• Respond to email requests from both internal departments and external vendors

• Have previous experience in aviation or a material/parts environment
• Have the ability to multi‑task
• Have a valid Driver’s License
• Have the ability to work under pressure
• Know human factors, human performance, and limitations, and practice them
• Have computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, email, and web‑based applications
