- Previous travel experience - LTC experience - Alaska Food Worker Certification (to be obtained during orientation)

Description:

This position is for a Long Term Care Registered Nurse. Candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients with various conditions, including dementia, Alzheimer's, and cognitive and physical impairments. The nurse will work either day or night shifts based on facility needs. The nurse will administer medication, conduct assessments, and provide patient care and support.

Ratios will be approximately 1 nurse to 20 patients. Floating between facilities may be required to meet staffing needs. All candidates must commit to working during major winter holidays. Travelers may be called off for one 12-hour shift every two weeks. Candidates should be prepared to perform specific medical procedures as outlined in the job description. The position requires adherence to facility protocols and standards of care.

Applicants must provide two references covering recent work experience prior to start. Candidates should be aware that any flexibility beyond the contracted schedule may lead to termination of assignment. Additional requirements and duties may be explained during the hiring process.
