Accountant, Financial Reporting, Senior Accountant

Founded in 1978, Al Marwan Group is a diversified organization serving the construction, heavy machinery, Oil & Gas, real estate, development, and Hospitality sectors across the GCC. The Group operates through multiple business units and subsidiaries, delivering integrated solutions supported by strong operational expertise and a well-established regional presence. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records and support financial reporting activities.

The ideal candidate must have a strong background in general accounting, financial reporting and account reconciliations, with mandatory prior experience in a shipping company or ship management environment.

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and general ledger activities.
• Record and review journal entries and financial transactions.
• Prepare financial statements and periodic financial reports.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and general ledger reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, payables and account balances.
• Analyse financial data, investigate variances and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support improvements in accounting processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Mandatory experience in a shipping company or ship management organisation.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• CMA, CPA or CFA certification will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
