Pier Seven Aviation FZC is a world class aviation training facility, operating various types of Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs), and conducting initial type rating courses for airlines and private pilots. We currently have an exciting new position for a Senior Simulator Engineer to join in our Sharjah office.

• Perform daily and periodic preventive and curative maintenance for all simulators as described in the maintenance manual.
• Perform readiness and fly out checks on a daily basis prior to the start of training sessions.
• Test and rectify reported malfunctions and faulty equipment/systems.
• Apply knowledge of functional operation of the system to diagnose the cause of malfunctions.
• Oversee the documentation management of all maintenance activities and maintain the records and technical logs in a proper manner for licensing requirements.
• Perform software and hardware configuration control.
• Run and pass Qualification Test Guides (QTG) as per QTG management control. Prepare simulator for certification renewal.
• Perform and comply with quality system procedures to ensure effective implementation of the QMS (Quality Management System).
• Carry out visual calibration, update NAV database and perform backup of all computer software.
• Provide guidance for the Simulator Training Instructors on the functionality of the Instructors Station as required.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required by the management.

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering and at least 10 years work experience in related field.
• Knowledge of Simulator Types: A320, B737, B747.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Able to interpret schematics and other technical documents pertaining to aviation.
• Advanced knowledge of computer mainframe/architecture, networking, operating systems (Windows NT/XP, UNIX, Linux, AIX), and software languages (C, C++, FORTRAN). Ability to write code and make software changes.
• Must possess superior troubleshooting skills, in-depth knowledge on use of electronic test equipment, and advanced software diagnostic utilities.
• Proficiency in English Language and presentation skills.
• Should have own commute arrangement.
