We are hiring a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Optical Network Solutions to lead the end-to-end design and planning of enterprise and government optical transport networks. This role involves technical ownership of DWDM/OTN architecture for high-availability, large-scale connectivity projects, ensuring robust and cost-optimized designs.

Job Description
As an SME – Optical Network Solutions, you will design and plan DWDM/OTN networks (100G–800G), perform link budget analysis, and create high-level and low-level designs. You will work closely with solution architects, sales teams, and customers to deliver technically sound solutions. Responsibilities include preparing BoQs, validating vendor solutions, defining acceptance criteria, and supporting RFP/RFQ processes for enterprise and government clients.

• Design end-to-end DWDM/OTN networks including span design, OSNR, and loss calculations.
• Perform link budget analysis, feasibility studies, and capacity planning.
• Develop network topology, routing, protection, and multi-layer resiliency designs (1+1, 1:
  
  N).
• Prepare BoQs, validate vendor solutions, and ensure technical compliance.
• Create HLD/LLD, engineering guidelines, and acceptance criteria.
• Provide technical support for RFP/RFQ processes and customer engagements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of hands‑on experience with DWDM platforms (Ciena, Nokia, Huawei).
• Strong expertise in link budgets, BoQ preparation, ROADM planning, and optical tolerances.
• Good understanding of IP/Transport integration.
• Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.

• Experience with advanced optical technologies (CDC‑Flex, Raman, ZR/ZR+, Routed Optical).
• Familiarity with coherent optics and multi‑layer resiliency strategies.
• Exposure to large‑scale enterprise and government network deployments.
• Knowledge of automation tools for optical network design.
• Certifications in optical networking technologies.
