Expected:
- B.Sc. or equivalent degree in the Engineering discipline from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 10+ years relevant experience in major Brownfield oil & gas projects, including at least five (5) years in similar position.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Specific experience in Oil and Gas projects across their lifecycle in the GCC region, preferred
- Pre-FEED, FEED experience is required
- Detailed Engineering experience is preferred
Role-Specific Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to provide guidance and direction to project team, managing, motivating and mentoring professional engineering specialists.
- Ability to discover issues and recommend solutions to technical and commercial issues uncovered during course of performing assignments
- Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates
- Professional level of ability in the application of standards, processes and procedures and how they are used in work execution
- Professional level of knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Technically competent in own discipline, pursues continuous professional development of skills and knowledge according to standards
- Maintains own knowledge of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promotes to direct reports.
- Applies mature professional knowledge and experience to assignments where issues and factors to be considered may be characterized by unsual demands and require additional evaluation to establish the nature and scope of the problem
- Demonstrated ability to apply advanced laws, principles, mathematics or industry knowledge in the improvement and development of designs
- Demonstrated skills in persuasion, negotiation, motivation and communication
- Demonstrated proficiency in project planning
- Possess a working knowledge of the various Business Units, Functions, Sectors and services offered within business area, and general understanding of other Wood business offerings
