Performs a variety of routine ultrasonic procedures of a technical level consistent with optimal image quality. Responsible for patient safety and proper operations and maintenance of radiographic equipment’s.

• Participates in commissioning assigned areas and associated Clinical areas
• Maintains a record of scheduled patients and accommodates the emergency cases.
• Practices proper entries and records on Radiology Information System and Hospital Information System.
• Prepares patient for ultrasound procedure by accurately assessing patient’s needs and providing appropriate instructions.
• Performs routine ultrasound examinations according to agreed policies and procedures
• Performs special ultrasound procedures under the supervision of Radiologist.
• Shares after-hours/on call duties with other sonographers in the department to be available to the hospital within 30 minutes of receiving a call.

• Operates ultrasound equipment for data acquisition, reconstruction of images, documentation of images,
• Obtains proper ultrasound images according to standard protocols for reporting by radiologist.
• Refers to radiologist in case of any diagnostic difficulty.
• Assists the radiologist in performance of ultrasound guided interventional procedures.
• Practices safety measures in ultrasound and Environment of Care.
• Takes care of gender related issues while performing ultrasound examination.
• Cover both Medical Diagnostic Imaging Department and outpatient Gynaecology clinics as required.
• Works any shift as per the duty roster of the Medical Diagnostic Imaging Department when designated.

• Associate's degree or radiologic graduate of an accredited radiologic health science program.
• One year post graduation experience
• Valid UAE MOH Evaluation in Radiography
