Position Summary

The CNC Lathe Machine Operator is responsible for measuring components to ensure proper fit in final assembly and identifying potential issues by understanding machine specifications and drawings. Although reporting to the Production Supervisor, the operator must ensure all tasks comply with HSE standards, corporate policies, and plans.

• Follow process flow charts and collaborate with other departments
• Provide timely and accurate reports to the IT Department
• Identify training needs

Key Responsibilities & Authorities

• Study assembly specifications for efficient process planning
• Measure components for proper fit
• Identify potential problems through understanding machine specs and drawings
• Assemble and polish metal components
• Manufacture and assemble metal parts for tools and machinery
• Maintain equipment
• Take precise measurements
• Collaborate with machinists
• Perform additional tasks as directed by R&D or Supervisor

Skills / Experience

• ITI Technical certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 5-7 years experience in engineering/design for production and drawings
• Prior inline inspection experience preferred
• Knowledge of Siemens & Fanuc control systems
• Languages:
  
  Hindi and English (spoken and written)

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Walk, climb, and maneuver within plant environments
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to focus and multitask
• Wear safety equipment as required
• Mobility and reflexes to perform duties and travel as needed
