Job Description
The role is responsible for managing the day to day running of the Furniture joinery as well as oversee the installation at the Client/ end user. The Manager will also provide leadership and management to the team.
Key Accountabilities
- Preparation of product measurements / templates / details .
- Reviewing & updating BoM (Bill of Materials prepared by QS) and issuing to responsible team for materials procurement.
- Ensuring that Health & Safety is of paramount importance in the department, regulations are met and that the workplace is kept clean and tidy.
- Establishing and maintaining designated work spaces, storage areas and gangways.
- Planning and organizing production schedules, Supervising the production processes and accountable for the Quality Control of all in-house production.
- Assessing project and resource requirements and deciding what resources are required.
- Ensuring that the production is cost effective and managing the reduction of process waste.
- Liaising with the Estimation and Projects departments regarding finalization of the production and /or project budgets and timescales.
- Ensuring that production processes are compliant with company standards and reviewing progress constantly.
- Ensure that all production data is processed in both a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure that materials are managed accordingly ensuring safe storage, and procedural inventory control.
- Ensuring that all machinery, equipment, hand tools etc are maintained in a good state of repair including organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
- Building strong working relationships with other departments and team members to facilitate fruitful collaborations.
- Training, mentoring and motivating the workforce, ensuring that individual development is recorded on the Skills Matrix and in the employees personnel file.
- Engaging with employees and positively encouraging their input to continuously improve both efficiency and an engaging work environment.

- Previous experience of working in a joinery/production environment or similar
- Should be able read production drawings
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Motivational and influencing skills
- Organized, able to prioritize
- Approachable and a good listener
- Experience in conflict management and resolution
Language
- English fluently (Required)
