Northern is hiring an Absence Admin Support professional to help manage sickness absence across its workforce. This is a full‑time, Sheffield‑based role with occasional travel depending on business needs. You’ll support managers in handling absence cases fairly and consistently, ensuring smooth operations and strong team performance.

- Support managers with all aspects of sickness absence, including note‑taking at meetings
- Schedule meetings and prepare documentation in line with policy
- Analyse absence trends and provide data insights to improve wellbeing and performance
- Assist with the alternative duties process and maintain accurate records
- Background in HR administration or absence management
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with HR systems such as SAP or Skylight
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive data with discretion
