Quantity Surveyor – Sheffield

A growing property developer in Sheffield is looking for a proactive Quantity Surveyor to support residential and commercial projects across South Yorkshire. You will manage costs, contracts, procurement, and reporting from pre-construction through to completion. Key Responsibilities:

Preparing feasibility estimates, detailed cost plans, and Bills of Quantities
Conducting accurate measurements and material take-offs from drawings
Managing tender processes, analyse returns, and recommend contractors
Supporting procurement strategy and negotiate commercial terms
Administering contracts, valuations, variations, and payment certificates
Maintaining cost forecasts, budgets, and financial tracking throughout projects
Producing regular cost reports, cashflow forecasts, and progress assessments
Conducting site visits to verify works, assess valuations, and monitor performance
Maintaining organised project records, documentation, and audit trails
Identifying cost risks and opportunities, advising on value-engineering solutions
Preparing and negotiate final accounts with contractors and suppliers
What We are Looking For:

Strong knowledge of UK construction contracts
Skilled with cost-management software
Excellent analytical and communication abilities
Residential/mixed-use experience
RICS membership (or working toward it)
Local market awareness (Sheffield/South Yorkshire)
