The Role As Assistant Build Manager, you will support the senior site management team to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Assist the Build/Project Manager in day-to-day site operations. Supervise subcontractors and site staff, ensuring health & safety compliance. Monitor progress against programme and report on key milestones. Support with site logistics, coordination, and quality control. Contribute to client, subcontractor, and progress meetings. The Candidate Previous experience working with a main contractor on refurbishment and/or new build projects. Knowledge of modern construction methods and building regulations.
Strong organisational and communication skills. Able to liaise effectively with subcontractors, consultants, and the client team. CSCS card required; SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid desirable. Whats on Offer Immediate start on a freelance/day-rate contract. Clear route to a permanent role with excellent career progression. Opportunity to be part of a landmark project in Sheffield.
