About the RoleAs our Systems Reliability Engineer you will play a strategic role in shaping asset reliability and performance across the EA’s Yorkshire and North East Operational Areas. You will embed best‑in‑class reliability engineering practices, streamline asset management processes, and lead system‑wide improvements aligned with the EA 2030 Strategy. You will report to the MEICA Team Leader, act as the technical lead on MEICA systems activity, liaise with Business Partners, and participate in the incident response roster.
Key Responsibilities- Embed reliability engineering practices and drive asset reliability initiatives.
- Streamline asset management processes to improve performance and cost efficiency.
- Support and lead on technical system support for MEICA systems.
- Collaborate with Business Partners and MEICA engineers to integrate asset management and reliability initiatives.
- Respond to incidents as part of the MEICA incident response roster.
- Maintain MEICA assets to meet statutory, safety and performance standards.
- Engineering degree (preferred: MEICA).
- Proven experience in asset management and reliability engineering within a complex operational environment.
- Strong finance and budget management capabilities.
- Programme and maintenance management experience.
- Technical leadership and effective planning skills.
- Experience engaging and collaborating with MEICA engineers.
- Familiarity with modern reliability and technological innovations.
- Excellent IT skills, data interpretation for engineering decisions.
- Knowledge of maintaining mechanical and electrical systems.
- Working knowledge of a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Hybrid working: flexible but requires approximately two days travel to sites and area offices.
- Annual pay:
Market Forces Factor of £4,750 for Incorporated Engineers and £9,750 for Chartered Engineers (Member of Imech
E/IET). - Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
