HGV Operator; drainage

About The Role

The Lanes Group needs a HGV Jetting Engineer to join our Operational Team in Ripponden. The role is part of a well‑established team that is looking to expand further with another strong member of staff.

• Salary:
  Up to £15.00 per hour, dependent on experience

You will work independently operating our high specification tankering vacuumation units. Your work projects will include any drainage related issues, moving treated and untreated waste product, assisting with remedial works on Anglian Water sites and emergency reactive works.

Although you start at the depot, you will be mobile attending to all work activities within various work sectors, including industrial, utility, commercial, and residential. You will travel by vehicle to jobs throughout the region, which may involve additional travel times.

You may already be familiar with vacuumation tankering works, but full training will be given for the right candidates. You will be required to hold an HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 3 penalty points ideally. A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable.

As a Utilities Waste‑Water Technician, you should have strong problem‑solving, listening, critical thinking, team‑working abilities and a customer‑focused approach. Excellent hand‑eye coordination and concentration are essential skills for operating machinery.

• Competent in using an electronic device – laptop or tablet for data entry
• Physical fitness and lots of energy
• Ideally a driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Industry related qualifications such as NRSWA and Confined Space (desirable)
