Process Engineer - Water Industry

We are currently in the market to recruit multiple Process Engineers (Water) for a variety of major long-term frameworks across the UK. In addition to a range of long-term programmes across the UK water industry RPS, and Tetra Tech, have successfully won a £100 million single-award framework from United Utilities to support the improvement of river health across the Northwest of England.

About The Team: RPS Water Consulting is a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development, to our Water Industry clients to support business planning and delivery. About You:

As a key member of the Water Consultancy business, your role as a Process Engineer (Water) is critical to helping us deliver great projects for our Water Industry clients. You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of water project experts on a range of capital delivery projects. You will have a substantial opportunity to contribute towards optioneering, outline, and detailed design expertise across various frameworks.

Responsibilities include handling the technical delivery of projects, monitoring the budget, meeting deadlines, and ensuring quality standards, all while aiming to exceed client expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to operate both independently and as part of a team, encompassing tasks such as production, verification, review, or approval of raw water envelope, influent characterises, process performance reports, process outline design calculations, PFD's, equipment specifications, process control philosophies, technical reports and schematics.
• Providing process optimisation and advisory services for new and existing water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure.
• Oversight and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, taking on the role of Process Designer as assigned, utilising and developing cutting-edge digital design methodologies.
• Identification and cultivation of innovative and optimised technical solutions aligned with client requirements and objectives. Including collaboration with our laboratories on chemical analysis and leading-edge solutions and collaboration with our software teams to develop new process optimisation tools for our clients.
• Coordination and leadership of collaborative efforts within multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and ICA).
