New year, new job. Are you a Senior Hydraulic Modeller looking for a role where your technical expertise genuinely influences outcomes rather than sitting behind layers of process? This is an opportunity to join a leading consultancy where your modelling insight directly shapes real-world wastewater and surface water solutions.
You will join a highly regarded water team working flexibly from a UK base, collaborating closely with colleagues while delivering projects nationwide. The work spans wastewater networks, integrated catchment modelling and surface water systems, supporting clients wherever their assets are located while offering genuine hybrid flexibility.
The role
As a Senior Hydraulic Modeller, you will take ownership of project delivery while providing technical leadership and mentoring within the team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering wastewater and surface water modelling projects end to end
* Leading and mentoring junior engineers and modellers
* Planning and overseeing surveys and data collection activities
* Building, verifying and auditing ICM or Info Works models in 1D and 2D
* Interpreting outputs to develop practical, cost-effective solutions
* Preparing clear technical reports and client updates
* Managing project budgets, resources and programme delivery
* Maintaining strong quality and health and safety standards
About you
This role suits an experienced Senior Hydraulic Modeller ready to lead.
You will ideally have:
* A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or similar
* At least 6 years' experience in wastewater hydraulic modelling
* Advanced knowledge of ICM or Info Works
* Experience supervising and reviewing technical work
* Strong communication and client-facing skills
