Graduate Acoustic Consultant
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000

Overview
We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Graduate Acoustic Consultant to join our growing Sheffield-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a genuine interest in acoustics to start their career within a supportive and professional consultancy environment.
Our consultancy provides high-quality acoustic and vibration services to a diverse range of public and private sector clients, working on varied, technically interesting projects across multiple sectors.
The Role
As a Graduate Acoustic Consultant, you will work closely with experienced consultants and gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of acoustic disciplines. Your responsibilities will include:
Undertaking noise and vibration surveys across a variety of sites
Carrying out noise modelling, data analysis, and interpretation
Preparing clear, well-structured technical reports
Supporting project delivery to meet agreed deadlines and budgets
Conducting sound insulation testing in line with current industry standards
About You
We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
A degree in Acoustics, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, organised, and professional approach to work
A full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
Day-to-Day Activities
This is a varied and hands-on role, typically involving:
Visiting client sites to carry out noise and vibration assessments
Using specialist software to model and interpret acoustic data
Working collaboratively with clients, architects, and planning consultants
Producing high-quality reports to support planning and regulatory requirements
Managing multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency
