Digital Finance Manager

Sharp Consultancy is delighted to partner with an award-winning accountancy firm in Sheffield to recruit a Digital Finance Manager for a newly created role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking professional to combine hands‑on client engagement with strategic leadership, driving client success and contributing to the firm’s continued growth.

In this position, you will lead digital finance transformation initiatives, implementing cloud‑based accounting systems and automation tools, managing system integrations, and supporting clients through onboarding to digital workflows. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll work closely with a diverse client base while gaining exposure to digital finance, tax‑related advisory projects, and SME consultancy. Reporting directly to a Partner or Director, you will also take responsibility for mentoring and developing a small team of trainees, shaping the next generation of talent.

• Salary between £50,000 - £60,000
• 25 days AL + 8 BH
• Flexible and Hybrid working

• Full ownership of a varied client portfolio with a focus on local SME businesses
• Provide a full end‑to‑end advisory service to clients – providing genuine business advice and guidance
• Lead digital finance transformation by implementing cloud‑based accounting systems and automation tools
• Oversee system integrations between accounting platforms, ERP systems, and other digital tools
• Support client onboarding to cloud accounting platforms and digital workflows
• Collaborate with tax, audit, and advisory teams on digital initiatives and process improvements
• Work closely with senior managers and partners to shape the firm’s digital finance strategy

• ACA / ACCA qualified
• Experience of working within Accountancy Practice
• Experience of using cloud‑based software such as Xero
