Sopra Banking Software has an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading financial software providers as a Product Analyst, within the Product Management team, responsible for supporting the Product Managers with the definition and design of new features and products. As a Product Analyst, you will support in day to day operation of the team across our product set and also drive research and analysis into how emerging technologies can be integrated into our product offering to drive value and efficiency for our client will be involved in the ongoing evolution of our product suite at an exciting time when a lot of change is happening within the UK savings and lending market.
Included in the role there is the opportunity to get face to face engagement with our client base, through hosting key customer workshops focused on presenting our thought leadership and the vision and strategy of our solution.
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate :
- Understanding of the product management lifecycle, including design thinking principles
- Interest in software development such as digital banking solutions, including web portals and mobile apps
- Comfortable in customer facing situations, the successful candidate will be expected to organise, present and manage customer sessions (face-to-face and online)
- Knowledge of software development and different methodologies
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Analytical and research skills, successful candidate will undertake research and analysis into emerging technologies, market trends, competitor analysis etc. to form business cases and suggest product direction
- Strong presentation skills
- Self-motivated
We are interested in hearing from you, if you have most of the following attributes :
- STEM degree
- Experience working with software products
- Knowledge and / or experience of software architecture and coding
- Understanding of the banking and building society sector, including lending, savings and mortgages
- Organised with good appreciation of effective stakeholder management
- Interest in emerging / current technologies, AI, ML, Data, APIs etc.
