My client is a highly successful IT managed services business. Following a number of successful acquisitions in recent years, my client is looking for a strong Management Accountant to be responsible for closing the month end, producing management accounts, cashflow, debtor analysis and providing commentary for variances across the various businesses. The role will support the Financial Controller and the FP&A team with budgeting and forecasting.

• Close the period and lead the preparation of management accounts and board packs, providing variance analysis and insight for Senior Management for three businesses
• Responsible for balance sheet preparing / reviewing key Balance Sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments recs
• Posting entries for accruals, prepayments and journal entries as part of the month end
• Assist the FC to prepare and develop the preparation of KPI packs for the business
• Acting as a sounding board for the FC, providing challenge where necessary and stepping up to cover for the FC when they are not available.
• Review the Short-term cashflow forecast with the FC before submission to Group and assist in ensuring cash is positioned in the right accounts to avoid operational disruption and optimise returns.
• Collaborate with the business to support them in understanding performance for their areas and providing information to help them make decisions, providing insightful and impactful analysis.

Successful candidates will be a qualified accountant with at least 3 years of commercial experience.
